The permanent exhibition is made up of screens and showcases with articles. The texts are in Swedish, English and German and they are constructed in such a way that single visitors themselves can go through the building and have all their questions answered.

Those groups who have booked a guided tour - have access to their own personal guide and the sightseeing tour begins in the carpentry where the exhibition is. The guide has access to a loudspeaker so that everybody can hear well.

A guided tour includes:
  • A short version of the Dalecarlian horse history, approx 10 - 15 minutes.

  • Demonstration of sawing and carving.

  • Demonstration of dipping the horses in basic colour.

  • Demonstration of the beautiful decoration painting.
The guided sightseeing tour takes about 20-30 minutes and finishes in the shop where the painter sits.
Please Note! Minimum time reserved for the whole visit should be one hour.

Our premises are suitable for disabled visitors. Lemonade, ice-cream and sweets can be bought in our well-stocked handicraft shop.
